Kensington Beach Metro Park

We went to the BEACH!  We were thrilled to be at a beach in Michigan!  Granted, it was a lake, but a beach is a beach, and we loved it. :)

I just love this scrunched up smile that Sammy does.

The kids and I went along with our good friends, the Balmforths. Here is my friend, Jenny, and her son, Drew, who is a year older than Ben.

Ben had a great time out in the water with Anna, who is right in between Ben and Eliza in age. Ben has been taking swimming lessons and he has come a long way. He even dunked his head a bunch!

Eliza especially loved playing in the sand.

Ben came in from the water to help out with their awesome sand castle (which I failed to get a picture of). He is working diligently on the moat system. :)

Sam is so funny! I think he was cold in this picture.  It's not often that you get a picture of this little boy with a frown on his face!

I wrapped him up in a towel and tried our picture again. :)

And although she slept in her carseat through most of the fun, Charlotte must be represented!

Strawberry Picking

On June 19th I took the kids strawberry picking, only about 40 minutes South of me. I went with Ina Llewellyn, a friend of mine from our ward who is also the bishop's wife and my 1st Counselor in the YW. It was the first time the kids and I have ever been strawberry picking, and it was a lot of fun!

Sammy parked himself next to my pile of strawberries and gorged himself. :)  The owners of the U-pick strawberry farm were super kid-friendly and said the kids could snack on the strawberries all they wanted. We had a lot of fun!
