For the 4th of July, the kids and I went to a community parade just for fun. We met some friends there and we all had a fun time. A nice lady gave Ben and Eliza little flags, which they waved around enthusiastically. (Eliza is pretending to be too sad to take a picture in the photo below. Silly girl.)
That weekend we went to the “Uncle Sam Jam” fair with some friends of ours. The kids got to do some rides. Jed and Ben rode a wheel screeching rollercoaster ride... the Caterpillar. :)

Eliza had fun in a tame boat ride...
And she rode the airplane with Ryleigh and Madison Bonk. They are darling girls from our ward and they came with us to the fair the night before they moved to Kentucky. :( We really miss their family!
Jed and Ben got to ride a REAL MONSTER TRUCK!!!
So EXCITING!!!
After the fair rides, we sat with friends to enjoy a great fireworks show.

How fun. I really wanted to take the kids to that jam festival carnival, but we never made it. Looks like a blast.
